WHAT WE BELIEVE

I believe in God the Father Almighty who created the heavens and the earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God the Father, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, shed His blood and died for the forgiveness of our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day and then bodily ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us.

I believe in the finished work of the cross where ultimately every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

I believe in the message and ministry of reconciliation to an unknowing and unbelieving world.

I believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, in His work on earth as Teacher, Comforter, Guide and the manifestation of all gifts and fruit of the Spirit.

I believe in the holy universal Church built upon Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone, the foundation being the Apostles and the Prophets and the theocracy of the local church led by ordained Ministry.

I believe in Prayer and Worship both individually and corporate.

I believe in the Word of God and in the Living Word, Jesus Christ.

I believe in the Holy Sacraments of Baptism. Eucharist and Divine Healing provided through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.

I believe that I must discover my purpose and fulfill my assignment as salt and light in this world advancing the principles of God’s Kingdom.

I believe there is a heaven and hell. God will bestow happiness and eternal life on all those who depart this life free from original sin called heaven and a final repository of evil, separated from God called hell.

I believe that when the gospel of the Kingdom has been preached to the entire world as a witness then Jesus Christ will return to earth where He will establish His Kingdom of which there will be no end.  And He shall reign forever and ever

 WHY DESTINY CATHEDRALbishop

After 24 years of planting new churches, raising up a new generation of leadership and establishing a ministry network of churches, Dr. Paul Crites was ordained as a Bishop by his spiritual father and pastor, Arch Bishop David Jones of Tampa, Florida. Not long after that Bishop Crites received a dream to relocate his ministry to place he had never heard or visited, Franklin, Tennessee. Franklin would become the place where the ministry would take the next major step in the establishment of Destiny Cathedral.

The word destiny refers to a predetermined course of events or fixed natural order of the universe. The word cathedral is derived from the Latin noun "cathedra" (seat or chair), and refers to the presence of the bishop’s chair. In the ancient world, the chair was the symbol of a teacher and thus of the bishop's role as teacher, and also of an official presiding as a magistrate and thus of the bishop's role in governing a diocese.
